Black Screen Records is a record label, online shop and distributor for video game and anime soundtracks based in Cologne, Germany.
The label was founded by Kevin Schulz in 2015 - since then, we have released over 80 video game soundtracks on vinyl, CD & digitally and have produced high-quality vinyl collector’s editions for Divinity: Original Sin II, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Medium, BattleTech, Dear Esther, VA-11 HALL-A, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty and many others.
We offer full vinyl and CD manufacturing services, distribute and sell our physical soundtrack releases through leading independent music distributors and help to promote and publish game soundtracks digitally on over 500+ streaming services and music platforms worldwide. We also run one of the biggest online stores for game soundtracks on vinyl and currently have over 700 different titles listed on our website. In October 2021, Black Screen Records opened a retail store and pop-up space for games and music in Cologne.

We accompany our partners on every step of the process from audio mastering, to package design, to worldwide distribution and help with logistics, wholesale, promotion and marketing. We always go in for quality and only work with leading partners in the industry to ensure our products sound and look amazing.Furthermore, we publish video game soundtracks of all genres digitally on Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Amazon, LINE MUSIC, KKBOX and all other major Digital Service Providers (DSPs) worldwide. We are in regular contact with worldwide editors at the key DSPs - especially Spotify & Apple - where we can place releases in their algorithms and genre specific playlists to reach targeted audiences.
VA-11 HALL-A: Complete Sound Collection by Garoad
To celebrate everyone's favourite cyberpunk waifu bartending game's 5th anniversary in 2021, we've released Garoad’s complete soundtrack to VA-11 HALL-A as a special 5xLP box set on limited edition heavy-weight coloured 180g vinyl with brand new original artwork by aurahack (@aurahack) with over three hours of music.
Paradise Killer (Original Soundtrack) by Barry Topping
Black Screen Records and Kaizen Game Works have teamed up to release Barry "Epoch" Topping's vibrant city pop & vaporwave influenced soundtrack to the open-world adventure game Paradise Killer on vinyl. The fourth pressing of the album is now available on audiophile 180g "Blood Crystal Red" double vinyl and comes in a beautiful 80s anime & city pop-inspired artwork by Mizucat.
Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void (Original Soundtrack) by Chris Christodoulou
After several sold-out pressings of Chris Christodoulou's beloved Risk of Rain 1 & Risk of Rain 2 soundtracks, we've now released his most recent Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void album on limited edition pink/purple/white marbled vinyl. The vinyl comes in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with stunning original artwork by Daniele Giardini and includes a Bandcamp Code for the full digital album.
