About us

Founded in 2008 by Martin Knauf and today led by Maik Reichelt, we at ByteRockers' Games aim to create unprecedented games. With the vision to develop something new out of every project, we set no limits to ourselves and our imagination. Combined with the best possible working conditions, we create new standards for innovation and creativity in the gaming industry every day.

For us, games are a central element of modern pop culture and not just a banal form of entertainment. They embody, like no other medium, the further development of our culture, communication, interaction and networking in our modern society. Games are therefore much more than just a pastime for us.

It's a long way to the top (if you wanna Rock'n'Roll)!

15 years is an impressively long time, during which we have tried numerous options and learned important lessons. These experiences have shaped us and made us the company we are today.

We are proud to have emerged stronger from each setback and to grow continuously. We will therefore carry on to provide room for new ideas to flourish, because that's the only way we can create games that reflect our passion for them.

Developer

As ByteRockers' Games we're mainly an indie game development studio from Germany presenting our projects abroad. These projects include Beat Slayer (released April 4th), Solnox (release date has yet to be announced; this game is looking for a dedicated publisher) and Project Hack (release date has yet to be announced).

But Tokyo Game Show will also be our debut showing as a publisher in Asia, because we're bringing Let Them Trade (release date has yet to be announced, is looking for a regional publisher in Asia), which is an externally developed title by Nuremberg-based studio Spaceflower.

Beat Slayer

Beat Slayer is a roguelite hack n’ slay game like no other. Instead of just being in the background the music takes centre stage. Join Mia, a badass music lover and crafty tinkerer, as she battles hordes of robots in a dystopian 90s inspired Berlin. There’s only one rule: Stay on beat!

Project Hack

Become a white hat hacker and defend your nation by coding your own offensive security programs and stealing the data of your enemies!

Whether you want to quickly play one round (>= 20 min.) or a longer session, Project Hack is for you! Accessible controls as well as tons of unlockable gameplay elements will ensure a smooth entry and make you want to play ONE MORE ROUND!

The node-based coding mechanics are intuitive to use and allow for deeply complex algorithms. Players don‘t have to know how to write code, but will learn concepts such as routines, switches, regression and much more through exciting gameplay.

Everything in Project Hack is happening in a stylized cyberspace, which is visually represented by circuit boards, semi conductors. No boring terminals!

This project is still in prototype stage!
